How To Use Blade Stops

The Standard Vise Version 2 comes with three blade stops to allow for clamping down on blades of varying heights from spine to edge.

Instructions for Using the Standard Vise Version 2:

  1. Determine Blade Length: Determine the height of the blade you plan to sharpen, from spine to edge. Approximately 5/8'' of your blade should sit above the top of the vise.

  2. Select Blade Stop: Use the provided key to choose the appropriate blade stop for your blade height
  3. Install Blade Stop: Place the selected blade stop into the vise, ensuring the indentations rest upon the two screws.
